HOW IT ALL STARTED…

Jamie and Debbie live in the 1840 farmhouse of Seven Springs Farm, located in Columbia, Tennessee, a small town south of Nashville, with their three English Golden Retrievers, Buck, Yara, and Evie. The house is on the National Registar of Historic Places and was owned by the Ewing family for over 170 years prior to Jamie and Debbie purchasing the home in 2019. While their professions include, being an attorney and Vice President of a medical device company, as well as, owners of Buckhead Coffeehouse and Buck + Board, a wine and charcuterie restaurant in downtown Columbia, Jamie and Debbie’s passion is their love for English Golden Retrievers.

We’ve always loved Golden Retrievers, having owned many as pets over the years, but that love grew into a passion eight years ago when we rescued two English Goldens, Gasha and Yulya, from Russia…

Already eight years old at the time they were rescued, both Gasha and Yulya had been severely neglected and malnourished. But, after a few months of nursing them back to proper weight and health, and endless amounts of love, both Gasha and Yulya had six more wonderful years with Jamie and Debbie.

After Gasha and Yulya passed away, Jamie and Debbie decided that not only did they want to start over with new puppies, but they also wanted to start breeding a few litters per year to share these amazing animals with other families. Their newest Goldens, Evie, Yara, and Buck, live in the house, along with having their own heated and cooled building outside, plus two acres of land to roam and play on. Jamie and Debbie prefer the balance of only breeding a couple of litters per year, because, first and foremost, their dogs are their pets. Raising happy and healthy pets means being able to give them the love and attention they each deserve, while also focusing on maintaining the highest standards of health and pedigree.
